Here read this..I copied and pasted it on google

Vaginitis is an inflammation of the vagina that can result in discharge, itching and pain. The cause is usually a change in the normal balance of vaginal bacteria or an infection. Vaginitis can also result from reduced estrogen levels after menopause.

The most common types of vaginitis are:

Bacterial vaginosis. This type of vaginitis results from overgrowth of one of several organisms normally present in your vagina, upsetting the natural balance of vaginal bacteria. More than one in six pregnant women in the United States has bacterial vaginosis, though many aren’t aware of it.
Yeast infections. A naturally occurring fungus called Candida albicans usually causes this type of vaginitis. An estimated three out of four women will have a yeast infection in their lifetime.
Trichomoniasis. This type is caused by a parasite and is commonly transmitted by sexual intercourse.
Atrophic vaginitis. This type results from reduced estrogen levels after menopause. The vaginal tissues become thinner and drier, which may lead to itching, burning or pain.
Treatment depends on the type of vaginitis you have

is that like Arthritis of the vagina? I didn’t know vaginas could get arthritis. hmmm.. learn something daily. I would do what your doctor says to do. Google what you have been diagnosed with and see what the symptons, etc are and see if there is treatments or specific medicines and ask your doctor about them. good luck!

Eat lots of yogurt (2 servings a day) and stay away from yeast products (baked goods etc.) for a few weeks. You can also use a garlic suppository (I’m not kidding on this, garlic is a natural antibiotic) by poking a hole through the peeled garlic clove, threading some dental floss through it to make a string, like a tampon string, and inserting it into your vagina. Leave it for a few hours and repeat with a fresh clove. Warning though, do this on a day you don’t have to go out much because it will make you smell garlicky. The vagina is one of the most absorbant tissues in the body and you’ll smell garlic on your breath.

    Acording to Wikipedia:
Vaginitis is an inflammation of the vaginal mucosa and often associated with an irritation or infection of the vulva leading to vulvovaginitis. It is a common problem. Here’s the link so you can read about it.

What is causing the vaginitis? If it’s an infection, the doc should have given you some medication for it. If it’s chronic and the cause is unknown, you’re not alone! Hundreds of women have chronic vaginitis and don’t know what to do. Some of them are healthy virgins; it’s nothing they did wrong. If this is the case, check out NVA.org, which is dedicated to helping women with this condition.

geez ppl,it has nothing to do with sex, std’s or age just like yeast infections.
Don’t worry, just take the medication your doctor prescribed you and cream(if he did). Good that you found out sooner than later. It’s very common and it’s not bad at all if you treat it.
Don’t feel bad about it :) It happenes, just like stupid yeast infections, almost every woman gets it at least once in a life time.

  13. grannyzattic says:

If you are not sexually active, the pH in your body is out of whack. Eat lots of yogurt with live cultures or take about 6 acidophiles tablets a day, throughout the day not at one time. You should do this everyday anyway. It keeps your bodies pH in balance and helps in many ways.

If you have recently been on antibiotics you could have a yeast infection and the above will help with that.

No douching, it is not a good thing. I washes out all the good stuff that you need.

Please don’t do the garlic as recommended above. This will burn and irritate an already irritated area.
